That’s the debut weekend done in Super2! Very pleased overall and we rolled out of the truck super fast.

 

Friday we started the best way possible finishing the first practice in P1. We saved tyres for FP2 and didn’t put a respective lap in. Spent some quality time with Garth Tander and Chad Neylon so that was good to knock off our first On-Air interview for the year.

 

Saturday we were back up the order running P1 for a time and finishing P2 in qualifying by just 0.03! Was definitely a bittersweet moment losing pole in the dying minutes but still an awesome result for our first qualifying session. We couldn’t quite convert the race how we wanted too, I had a bad start and fell back to 6th going into T1, ultimately finishing P5.

 

Sunday didn’t go our way, made the wrong strategy call in qualifying and buried ourselves deep in the pack in P19, had another bad start in the race and dropped to last in the opening lap. Managed to make a few passes and avoid any damage to get back to finish P16.

 

Feel like one got away this weekend as we knew we had the pace, but we have 5 more rounds to grab some silverware and climb back up the championship. Massive thank you to Micheal and the team at Anderson Motorsport, they gave me a fast racecar and we just need to put all the 1%'s together!
